Directions

THE TAPPAN-ZEE BRIDGE 

  1. Take Interstate 87N/287W to Exit 11 (NYACK).
  2. At the end of the ramp continue straight until you come to a traffic light.
  3. At the light, turn left onto Route 9W North
  4. Follow 9W North for approximately 0.7 mile. You will see “Temple Beth Torah” on your left.
  5. Travel another 0.1 mile to the ATS driveway, also on the left. A large low stone sign says “Alliance Theological Seminary.”
  6. Follow the driveway to the upper parking lot.

 

UPSTATE NEW YORK 

  1. Take Interstate 87S/287E to Exit 11 (NYACK).
  2. At the end of the ramp is a 5-way traffic light. Turn left onto Route 59 East [four lane road, double yellow lines].
  3. Get into your left lane: at the next traffic light, turn left on to Route 9W north
  4. Follow 9W north for approximately 0.7 mile. You will see “Temple Beth Torah”
    on your left.
  5. Travel another 0.1 mile to the ATS driveway, also on your left. A large stone sign says “Alliance Theological Seminary.”
  6. Follow the driveway to the upper parking lot.

 

THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE 

  1. Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway north to Exit 9E [Interstate 87S/287E].
  2. Take Interstate 87S/287E to Exit 11 (NYACK).
  3. At the end of the ramp is a 5-way traffic light. Turn left onto Route 59 East [four lane road, double yellow lines].
  4. Get into your left lane: at the next traffic light, turn left on to Route 9W north.
  5. Follow 9W north for approximately 0.7 mile. You will see “Temple Beth Torah” on your left.
  6. Travel another 0.1 mile to the ATS driveway, also on your left. A large stone sign says “Alliance Theological Seminary.”
  7. Follow the driveway to the upper parking lot.

 

THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY 

  1. Take the Garden State Parkway north to the end where it splits for Interstate 87N/287W, stay to the right. After the split, get into your left lane and follow signs for 87S/287E
  2. Take Interstate 87S/287E to Exit 11 (NYACK).
  3. At the end of the ramp is a 5-way traffic light. Turn left onto Route 59 East [four lane road, double yellow lines].
  4. Get into your left lane: at the next traffic light, turn left on to Route 9W north.
  5. Follow 9W north for approximately 0.7 mile. You will see “Temple Beth Torah” on your left.
  6. Travel another 0.1 mile to the ATS driveway, also on your left. A large stone sign says “Alliance Theological Seminary.”
  7. Follow the driveway to the upper parking lot.

 

CONNECTICUT

  1. Take 84W to 684S to 87W (or 287W) to the Tappan-Zee Bridge.
  2. Follow directions “From the Tappan-Zee Bridge” above.

 

SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY OR STATEN ISLAND

  1. Take the New Jersey Turnpike North (95) – stay in local lanes.
  2. Exit at Fort Lee (the exit just before the George Washington Bridge (GWB)).
  3. Turn left at street and proceed about 3/4 of a mile; follow signs for Palisades Interstate Parkway North.
  4. Take Palisades Interstate Parkway North to Exit 9E (87/287 – Tappan Zee Bridge or NYC).
  5. Go to Exit 11 (Nyack)
  6. As you get off exit, turn left on Route 59 and go 1/2 mile to traffic light.
  7. At the light, turn left onto Route 9W North.
  8. Follow 9W North for approximately 0.7 mile. You will see “Temple Beth Torah” on your left.
  9. Travel another 0.1 mile to the ATS driveway, also on the left. A large low stone sign says “Alliance Theological Seminary.”
  10. Follow the driveway to the upper parking lot.

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

*From the George Washington Bridge (GWB) bus station take Red and Tan bus line (West Shore Express Bus Service), bus Commuter C9W, the bus will come to Nyack.  Alert the driver of where you need to get off near Alliance Theological Seminary past Nyack Hospital at Christian Herald Road/Old Mountain Road.  At the light on 9W you then take a short walk (3/10 mile) south to the seminary.  Alliance Theological Seminary is about a 5 minute walk from the light.
*From 41st Street Port Authority West Shore Express Bus Service. Same as from GWB.
*From Manhattan Metro North Train service going into Tarrytown; from Tarrytown take a TOR bus across the Tappan-Zee Bridge into Nyack.  Metro North Train service also goes into Spring Valley and the 59 bus goes down Route 59.  Alert the driver of where you need to get off near Alliance Theological Seminary past Nyack Hospital at Christian Herald Road/Old Mountain Road.  At the light on 9W you then take a short walk (3/10 mile) south to the seminary.  Alliance Theological Seminary is about a 5 minute walk from the light.
